Open access agreements for the United States: information for authors

Welcome

Under the terms of BMJ’s open access agreement with Michigan State University, Rowan University and Vanderbilt University, corresponding authors* and research institutions are eligible to publish their research open access (with fees covered by the agreement) in a range of BMJ journals.

*Acting as the main contact with BMJ after editorial acceptance.

What authors need to know

  • Article processing charges are covered for original research articles published in the following journals:
  • You must be the corresponding author* of the article.
  • You must be affiliated with an eligible institution when your article is accepted for publication.
  • You must clearly state your primary affiliation in the published manuscript.
  • You must verify your eligibility during submission by selecting your institution or using your email domain.
  • Open access articles will be published allowing reuse under a CC-BY-NC or CC-BY license**.*Acting as the main contact with BMJ after editorial acceptance.
    **Please check with your administrator for license details.
